About the writer
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, but spent the majority of my life in Hamburg, Germany, after immigrating there with my family in 1996. I moved to Texas in 2016, became a mom and now reside in Plano, Texas (USA) with my loved ones.
Experience Matters
I studied French literature and art history as well as Romance Literatures and graduated from the University of Hamburg in 2015 with a PhD (Dr. phil) in literature with a thesis on Luis Buñuel's literary adaptations.
After moving to Dallas, TX, I developed a deep appreciation for Texas's cultural offerings, for the large amount of public and contemporary art and decided to start sharing my findings. It all began with an Instagram account (@talketalksart) and a humorous column about Texas for a German newspaper. I have now published for press like The Art Newspaper, Sueddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) or Neue Zuercher Zeitung (NZZ) in German and The Art Newspaper (TAN), Artsy Scoop and Texas Signal in English.
