About the writer
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, but spent the majority of my life in Hamburg, Germany, after immigrating there with my family in 1996. I moved to Texas in 2016, became a mom and now reside in Plano, Texas (USA) with my loved ones.
Experience Matters
I studied French literature and art history as well as Romance Literatures and graduated from the University of Hamburg in 2015 with a PhD (Dr. phil) in literature with a thesis on Luis Buñuel's literary adaptations.
After moving to Dallas, TX, I developed a deep appreciation for Texas's cultural offerings, for the large amount of public and contemporary art and decided to start sharing my findings. It all began with an Instagram account (@talketalksart) and a humorous column about Texas for a German newspaper. I have now published for press like The Art Newspaper, Sueddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) or Neue Zuercher Zeitung (NZZ).
